Dalton Smith call-up: In December of 2019 the Buffalo Sabres signed AHL tough guy Dalton Smith to an NHL contract and called him up for a game against the Tampa Bay Lightning to get revenge for a bad hit earlier in the season. Smith spent more time in the penalty box (two minutes) than on the ice that game. He was then loaned back to the AHL.
