The real question to me, and one I’m not sure if we’ll see answered this season, is whether he can play Center in a bottom 6 role. Granato seems set on using him as a winger with Mitts, which makes some sense since neither seems truly ready to play Center effectively yet at the NHL level. So having them almost split duties has a certain logic. Still, I’d like to see what he can do exclusively as a pivot. I’ve always kind of imagined him as a Johan Larsson type bottom 6 Center.
