This is the first video in a series that I brought up a little over a month ago. I wanted to put out some videos discussing different analytic numbers. What they mean, the abbreviation, and how you can see them when watching a game.

So, this first video isn’t long and I get into the base-level shooting stats. I talk about Corsi, Fenwick, individual shot attempts, and on-ice shot attempts. I also break down counting stats versus using rates.

I hope you enjoy it and learn something new. The remaining videos will likely be live-streamed so that I can answer some questions that people have while I’m going through explanations.
