Now isn’t the time for sports. Now, is the time to continue to listen and educate ourselves how we can improve our society.

I understand sports are here to entertain us and distract us from from the nuances of every day life but sometimes we don’t need the distraction. Now, is that time to listen and learn.

What’s happening in our country is far more important than the NHL or any sport for that matter.

It’s not just Jacob Blake. It’s also because of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Tamir Rice, and the countless others that have dealt with oppression because of the color of their skin.

The NHL, NBA, MLB, WNBA, and MLS have postponed play in some form or another to bring this issue to light again. To give us the opportunity to educate ourselves and figure out where we can make a difference.

As such, Anthony and I will take this time to do just that and continue doing so even when sports return.

We don’t want to muddy up social media with our content on sports when other information is more critical at this time. Therefore, we will not be posting any new content on the site until next week.

We ask that you spend the time you would have spent reading our work to read something on what’s happening in our country.
